Strawberry Rose' Lemonade

Strawberry Rose' Lemonade

If you know me in real life, you would know that I love ROSE’ and it is my go-to drink, when I do drink. I don’t drink a ton but I love a good glass of rose’. The love is so known that most of the things my girlfriends give me have some connection to rose’. In fact, I am wearing a shirt that says “Stop and sip the Rose’” *insert laughing emoji*. I know that my love of the pink wine is totally basic and stereotypical of millennials, but I am barely a millennial and rose’ is pretty appropriate for any time of the year so it’s a safe bet to order while out.

Anyway, in celebration for my birthday, I wanted to celebrate my favorite things and obviously Rose’ had to be a part of it, so I made a refreshing summer cocktail with my pink love. Strawberry lemonade is about as summery as you can get and I know that sweetness and citrus would pair with Rose’. So here we are, it’s a super simple strawberry lemonade (my kids loved it) and then you pour it over rose’ and drink it up. This is perfect for a party with your ladies, you can make the strawberry lemonade ahead of time and then just uncork or twist off the top of your fave pink wine and get drinking. My hubs suggested grenadine as a little extra and I agree, that would be sooooo good, I just didn’t have it on hand but next time I make this, I will make sure to have it! What is your favorite cocktail??

Side note - I hate that Rose’ is not in the dictionary here, I have to use the damn apostrophe to make it not look like rose….

  • ice cubes

  • optional - grenadine, 1 teaspoon

- In a carafe or jar, place the strawberries at the bottom and then sprinkle with sugar and stir. While that sits, juice the lemons and pour over. Then pour in the water and stir. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

- In a glass, place ice and then pour in the Rose’, then grab the strawberry lemonade and pour in, making sure to get some strawberries in the glass. Pour in the optional grenadine and then stir.

You want to start with a basic strawberry lemonade, strawberries at the bottom!

Sprinkle with sugar and stir around, this will release the juices of the strawberry and soften them.

While the sugar is doing it’s work, you can juice the lemons and then pour in.

You want this to chill in the fridge for at least an hour, the longer the better!
