Slow Cooker Turkey Breast

Slow Cooker Turkey Breast

Roasting a whole bird can be so daunting, I remember my first time, thinking it needed to be in the oven for hours upon hours. I fussed with that thing and researched recipes, until I finally did it. But when we went to carve the beast, people only wanted the breast meat, and maybe a leg for a funny picture. Unless we have a crowd for Thanksgiving, this is how I will do it from now on. This is boneless turkey breast with a delicious spice rub and it is made in the SLOW COOKER! Even if you have a crowd, this recipe makes a good amount of turkey, you could even grab a couple extra breasts and add those to your slow cooker. Easy to get into the slow cooker, easy enough to have any day of the year! It is also Whole30, Paleo, Keto, low carb, nut free, dairy free, soy free, and simply delicious.

- Place the onion at the bottom of the slow cooker, you may need to slice a small amount off to make level. Place the breasts on top of the onions.

- In a small bowl, combine the spices with the oil, then brush over the turkey breast on both sides, get under the skin too.

- Wedge the orange slices around the turkey breast and cover.

- Cook on LOW for 3-4 hours.

This is all you need to get turkey on the table.

Brush on the spices and oil mixture, get under the skin too, you won’t eat the skin but it adds great flavor.
