Halloween Bark Brownies

Halloween Bark Brownies

We love Halloween Bark here, making it almost every year but I wanted to mix it up a little this year. Melting the chocolate and little helper fingers make it a messy proposition. So I thought, why not swap chocolate for a brownie?! Genius if I do say so. These are so flipping delicious, and it makes a big enough batch to share with all your peoples. I took some of these to a neighborhood happy hour and they were a hit. You can also pack these into one of those little Halloween bags and give them to your favorite people.

Just grab your sweets, mix, bake and top for a delicious treat. Use some leftover candy or make it in anticipation of the night. Easy to make these gluten free with your favorite GF brownie mix, if you are nut free, leave out the peanuts and Butterfingers and swap with your favorite nut free candies. Gummy worms would be delicious in these, just add them while the brownie is warm, they will melt. Any way you make it, this is super fun with the kids, my girls helped me and we all enjoyed it!

Halloween Bark Brownies

  • 2 brownie box mixes, batter prepared as directed

  • 3/4 cup M&Ms - Halloween Mix

  • 3/4 cup candy corns, divided

  • 3/4 cup Honey Roasted Peanuts

  • 8 mini Butterfingers, chopped

  • 16 mini Heath bars, chopped

  • 1/4 cup white chocolate chips

  • candy eyeballs

- Prepare the brownie batter as the box directs and preheat the oven per the directions. Spray a 9x13 baking dish with non-stick spray.

- In the bowl with the batter, pour in 1/2 cup of each the M&Ms, Candy Corns, peanuts, Butterfingers, and Heath. Mix until all combined and then spread evenly into the baking dish.

- Sprinkle the top of the brownie batter with the remaining M&Ms, peanuts, Butterfingers, and Heath. Bake as directed but add an additional 5 minutes to the baking time. They are done when a toothpick comes out clean.

- When the brownie comes out, let it cool for a few minutes and then press in the rest of the candy corn and various sizes of candy eyeballs into the warm brownie. Then melt the white chocolate and drizzle over the top. Let cool completely before slicing.

I love using the Ghiradelli brownie mix, it is so delicious. This is one of those recipes that you want to have everything prepped so you can prep it quickly.

Drop in those add ins, and make sure you save some for the top of your brownie.

I learned the hard way to not add those candy corns or eyes because they get swallowed up. This little candy eye variety box was only $4.99 at Target and 100% worth it. Just do the Heath, Butterfinger, M&Ms, and peanuts before putting in the oven.

When the brownie comes out of the oven, press in those candy corns and eyeballs while it is still warm.

I melted my white chocolate chips in the microwave, at 15 second increments because it can go wonky fast. Then just drizzle over the top!
